A1C Chelsey Johnson Graduated with Honors from USAF Basic Training

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Chelsey D. Johnson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Johnson earned distinction as an honor graduate.

She is the daughter of Reba Johnson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., sister of Ashley McWilliams of McDonough, Ga., and Adrian Johnson and Brooke Johnson of Lexington, Ky. The airman is also the granddaughter of Booker and Lucy Johnson of Memphis, Tenn., and Rosie Johnson of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Johnson graduated in 2008 from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Lexington, Ky., and earned a bachelor’s degree in 2012 from Georgetown College, Georgetown, Ky.
