Tennessee church shooting leaves multiple people hurt, officials say

At least six people were injured when shots were fired at a Tennessee Church on Sunday, Nashville police said.

Nashville police received calls about a shooting at Burnett Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch just after 11 a.m., officials told Fox News. The church is about 30 minutes southeast of Nashville.

Joseph Pleasant, a spokesman for the Nashville Fire Department, confirmed at least six to eight people have been injured and were taken to the hospital.

It’s unclear how serious the injuries were at this time.

Nashville police told Fox News one person was taken into custody.

The church has a weekly service starting at 10 a.m. Sunday.
